Summer Time

So, I know I'm a slacker when it comes to blogging, but at least I get something out there. The summer is flying by, but I am actually anxious to start school again. I will actually be starting to learn about being a teacher, and I am really excited. I am also VERY excited about starting to substitute teach. I am looking forward to the experience and the interaction with the children. After my summer class was over (I made an A, yea!), we went to Texas to visit my sister-in-law and her family, my Aunt Barbara, and my cousin Laura and her family. It was fun, but extremely hot! 106 degrees! Wow!! We played indoor putt-putt golf, air hockey, bowling, and Wii. We ventured outside for one day of swimming, and I was ignorant enough to not put sunblock on myself. Boy, was that dumb! Don't worry, I lathered my kids with plenty of sunblock.

The next thing coming up is Mackenzie's 10th birthday!!! My baby is growing up and it is starting to make me sad. She is changing way too fast! She is turning into such a beautiful and smart little girl, but I'm not going to be able to say little very long. She's almost as tall as I am now, which I know doesn't take a whole lot! :) Kaitlyn is Miss Independent! She does not want any help from anyone! She has a lot to learn from that experience, but we are giving her space and letting her learn! She cracks me up. It's funny how two kids come from the same family, but are so totally different.

Paul and I are about to embark on a new life journey. I am quitting my job for school and more experience (Substitute teaching), and he is going to go back to patrol. I pray it works out for us! Well, I hope you enjoy the pictures. Take care.

Christmas morning at our house. The first one is the girls reading the letter Santa left! :)

Christmas was wonderful and relaxing since I had the week off. Paul's airplanes for the nephews were a hit which made Paul feel pretty good. We got to spend a lot of time with family and the girls love seeing their cousins. BUT they hate when the cousins have to go ALL the way back to Texas. :(

Well the girls had a wonderful Halloween as Sharpay Evans 1 and 2. Mackenzie thought it was the coolest thing when I hot rolled her hair and Kaitlyn was excited about wearing a tiara. Kaitlyn's leggings did not go with the costume, but she was afraid she would get cold. She is just like her momma: cold natured.
